The Calligraphy Society of Ottawa (CSO) is turning 40! Coincidentally, I’m also 40—well, in calligraphy years. So, the CSO and I got together to celebrate in early May. We spent the weekend freewheeling and designing without fear…cause that’s how we tackle middle age!
Students chose or wrote their own texts and experimented with techniques to flesh out their meaning, ultimately binding a small accordion book. Here are some of their book pages.
