After five decades of paper-making at its Montreal-based mill, David Carruthers and Denise Lapointe are relocating La Papeterie Saint-Armand. They’re scaling down, packing up, and moving out to a rural property in the Laurentians at the end of 2023. They plan to continue making paper, but in smaller batches. Artists who shop in person will have to travel a little further to snatch up their quality hand-made paper.
